Deduction claims on fees paid for Sport Transport, Sports Activities and Cultural and Creative courses

  • Parents who paid transport fees during 2016 in respect of each child under sixteen years of age attending church schools or private schools are allowed a deduction against the parent’s income for the year, up to a maximum of €150 per child.  
  • Individuals who paid fees during 2016 in respect of each child under sixteen years of age who attended sports activities, can claim a deduction against personal income of a maximum of €100 per child.
  • Individuals who paid fees during 2016 in respect of each child under sixteen years of age for cultural and creative courses, can claim a deduction against personal income of a maximum of €100 per child.
