Huge fines for companies breaking GDPR rules

Luca Caruana  -  22/January/2019

Amazon, Apple and Google are amongst the big corporations that broke the EU’s data regulations.

Since the General Data Protections Regulation (GDPR) rules were introduced, EU customers have the right to access a copy of the personal data companies hold about them. GDPR took effect in May 2018 and gives EU customers the right to demand a copy of their personal data from companies.

Some of the big companies did not fully comply and were fined accordingly.
